The Dark Knight (2008) (Movie Comment)

Its been a long time since i wrote something in this blog but today was different. I saw a much awaited movie today and have nothing to do with time as my vacations are on.
Well, i haven't been much of a superhero-movie buff but Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight has me vouching for it.
I have always been a Christopher Nolan fan and so was excited to watch the Dark Knight since sometime now. The movie has surely lived up to my expectations. Actually, what would you get if you gave a master-film maker like Nolan(who has movies like Memento, The Prestige, Insomnia, etc. to his credit) a superhero sequel to make?
A movie like the Dark Knight. It has everything that makes a good movie and yet does not stray from the sole SUPERHERO concept that it stands for. The special effects were far above average and the action sequences - lets just say they were another of Nolan's genius ideas on reel. If its not these, there's the Joker's interesting character performed brilliantly by Heath Ledger.
The only thing that i wished for were more action scenes but that will have to wait until the next Batman flick(if its by Nolan again). I also wonder what would be the result if some other innovative film-makers were given a Batman flick? Imagine Scorsese or Darren Aronofsky being the director of the next Batman flick......what a treat would it be?
